Trade Deadline

Flames get David Hale (Defenceman) and a 5th rounder for a 3rd rounder from New Jersey. Not a bad trade. Adds depth to our defence for the playoffs and gives competition for Zyuzin and Giordano. He's also a defensive defenceman who is quoted to be very stable and reliable... so maybe this will help stabalize our spotty defence.

But the big news for today comes from up north... from Edmonton... where it seems to have really become Deadmonton after today. Ryan Smyth gone. Captain Canada... off to the Island. Shocker of a trade. Ryan Smyth not an Oiler anymore. However, there is still the possibility that he'll re-sign with the Oilers after this season... and if he does. Then the Oilers basically pick up 3 first round draft picks... BUT it also pretty much means that the Oilers Ownership has pretty much given up on making the playoffs this year. Crappy position to be an Oilers fan right now.

While talking about Deadlines... I'm far behind my own self-appointed deadline for school, lol. WAY behind. So... this means... hardcore studying for the next 2 weeks to catch back up to my deadline that I stated for all my theory to be done and all my exams written.
