I must say, tonights game was a bit disappointing. Not only did the Flames get beat 6-3 by Minnesota, but they could have easily won the game if they had come out and played hard right off the bat. But instead, it took them till the 3rd period to show up and by then it was already too late. But the potential seen in the 3rd period looks great. Now if only they can maintain that type of play every period, every game, then the Flames will definately reach their lofty expectations. However, if they keep coming out flat like they did tonight, then we're in trouble. But no need to start panicking right now, it's just one game. Philadelphia lost as well... to the NY Rangers.
Though hopefully with Regehr back in the line-up in a month, the defence will be better as Montador played pretty poorly and Hamrlik had way too many defensive lapses. Both Hamrlik and Simon really has got to work on their skating, they were both beat by the speed of Minnesota on multiple occasions. And Special Teams was horrible tonight. 1 for 8 on the power play? Horrible. 1 for 3 on the penalty kill? Horrible.
But high-scoring in the New-Look NHL. 16 out of the 26 teams that have already played tonight scored 3 or more goals.

i do not likee david >< and david has a girlfriend i dig whiteboy's.
Flames suck! Successful last year in playoffs using the old clutch and grab system. They have no skill to be in this league. Kipper's proving that flukes do happen once in awhile. Remember Giguere?
Until they realize that grinders can't win games in the new NHL, the flames are screwed.
